Membership Requirements

2 forms of ID must be brought upon membership meeting showing current legal residency of

Miller Place, Sound Beach or Mt. Sinai

(PO Box cannot be accepted)

Must be minimum 18 years old and possess a NYS valid driver’s license

Background check will be performed

A letter of status and recommendation from current or past department is required at time of application meeting.

Prospective Member must be able to pass Department Medical Physical

All perspective members are required to be subjected to a police background check and the production of two forms of legal ID or bill showing residency for more than six months. The background application form must be printed and notarized for scheduled initial membership meeting.
