Wires Down and MVA - November 6, 2005
| On Sunday, November 6, 2005 the Miller Place Fire Department was activated for a commercial structure fire on Woodhull Landing Rd. 1st Assistant Chief William J. Curcie was first to hit the road and Firecom advised him of a potential working fire. Upon arrival Chief Curcie confirmed the working fire and requested Firecom reactivate Miller Place for a 13/35. The Sound Beach Fire Department was on scene with a pumper and 3 chief's. Rocky Point was also activated for Rapid Intervention. Miller Place's 2 engines, 1 ladder, 2 ambulances, 2 fire police units, rescue truck, brush unit and 3 chief's operated at the incident under the command of Chief Curcie. 5-0-40 was also on the scene and requested SCPD arson squad. Units were taking up within an hour of the incident activation. |
