Chief Hagermann started out in the MPFD as a Junior Firefighter in 1993 at the age of 14. He then joined the Andrew Chereb Engine Company in 1996. He then became a line officer for a total of 8 years finishing off as Captain in 2006-2007. Along with being a line officer he served as Chairman of the Membership Committee from 2007-2008. Chief Hagermann's most recent accomplishment was becoming a NYS Certified EMT-B in 2010. He is also one of the few members that is qualified to drive and operate all of the departments apparatus. Chief Hagermann was elected to the Chief's Office in 2011.
